RATS "Emergency Preparedness" Fundraising Drive

WCVE Channel 23 has donated 2 Feedlines to help bolster redundancy in the repeater system and enable an APRS node at Channel 23.

The total cost of this project is $7,000

RATS has allocated $3,500 in funding, an additional $3,500 is needed from the members to make this happen.

Repeater-grade antennas are already purchased, your donation will ensure the remainder of the funds are raised and the tower crew can get the job done quickly!

What does your donation make possible?

  • Separate backup UHF and VHF antennas
  • APRS coverage into Powhatan, Goochland and Amelia counties(primary use of backup VHF antenna)
  • 9600 UHF data node running T-NOS (primary use of backup UHF antenna)
  • Enhancements for future "off the grid" emergency power operation.
