Don't forget, the Virginia QSO Party will be held this weekend, from 2pm EDT Saturday, March 21st through 9pm EDT on Sunday the 22nd.
RATS will have either one or two stations set up at the WEVRS building this Saturday, starting at 12:30pm EDT. This is a great opportunity to get on the HF bands with the club's radios (Icom 746 Pros), especially for new hams, those of you who might not have HF gear, or for anyone who would like to try playing in a radio contest. We'll have experienced hams on hand if you'd like guidance or just want to listen, but also a small enough crowd that you can easily get mic time without having to arm wrestle for it. Most importantly, though, there is NO PRESSURE to score points or make contacts, so even if you just want to spin the knob and push the buttons, or stand around and shoot the breeze, we look forward to seeing you on Saturday afternoon.
