RATS News & Updates

Congratulations to RATS' new officers!

At the membership meeting on Friday, August 20, the final ballots were collected and counted, and a new group of officers were elected to the club's Board of Directors. We welcome everyone to join us for next month's meeting, Friday, September 17, 2010, as the new officers are installed:

Warren Winner W4UIE, re-elected as Treasurer
Oliver Kanervikkoaho KF4HVX, elected as Secretary
Peter Martin KF4VIZ, re-elected as Director
Tray Murphy N4PAT, re-elected as Director
Dr. Joe Palsa K3WRY, elected as Director

Thank you again to all of the candidates who ran for office - it has been exciting to see so much interest in these positions. And thank you to all of the members of RATS who voted. What a great election!

The Richmond Amateur Telecommunications Society, club callsign W4RAT, is based in the Virginia capitol city of Richmond. RATS is a Central Virignia ARRL- and SERA-affiliated radio club with VHF and UHF repeaters in service. We hold monthly meetings, open to members and guests.

Our repeaters and IRLP Nodesare open to all amateur radio operators holding the appropriate license class to operate on 2 meters (146.88MHz -600KHz offset) and 70 centimeters (442.55MHz +5MHz offset). Both repeaters use full CTCSS encoding/decoding at 74.4Hz (formerly called PL). Full use of the autopatch and telemetry functions requires RATS membership.
